On January 10-11, 2018 in the Aktobe Juridical Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbaev, the Criminal Procedure and Forensic Science Department held a seminar on the discipline “Criminal Procedure Law in the Republic of Kazakhstan” in a controversial form among the 2nd year students on ” additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues of modernization of the procedural foundations of law enforcement activities of December 11, 2012 “.
The relevance of this topic is due to the fact that amendments to the criminal procedural legislation are aimed at strengthening the protection of the rights of citizens in the criminal process and reducing its repressiveness; Increase competition in the criminal process, including by expanding the rights of lawyers; expansion of judicial control at the pre-trial stage.
The seminar consisted of three stages:
- Competition to review novels of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Solving of test questions on knowledge of the criminal procedural legislation.
- Blitz-poll.
The moderators of the seminar were – the senior lecturer of the Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics Department, the police major A.S. Taishybaeva and the teacher of the Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics Department, the police major Turebekova L.M.
The competent jury consisted of the head of the department, the police colonel Igolnikov A.G, the deputy head of the department, the police colonel Esmaganbetov B.S, the senior lecturer of the department, the lieutenant colonel of police Chuprynyuk N.A. and the lecturer of the department, the captain of police Kiyubek A.Zh.
On January 10, 2018, two teams took part in the seminar: “Wings of Independence”, cadets of 204 training groups, the team captain was Sergeant of Police ToxeyitovArman and “Future of the country”, cadets of the 203 training group, the team captain was senior sergeant Gabdullina Aygerim.
On January 11, 2018, two teams of 201 and 202 study groups with the state language of instruction also took part. The team “Dostyk”, captain of which was cadet of 201 training group Nurbolat Kukenov and team “Algyr” 202 training group, the captain of the team is Abzal Azimkhan.
During the seminar, held in a friendly, competitive and creative atmosphere, the cadets demonstrated their knowledge gained in the study of discipline, an active exchange of views took place.
The victory was won by the team “Wings of Independence”, consisting of cadets of the 204 training group with the Russian language of instruction. And the state language of training was won by the team “Dostyk”, consisting of cadets of the 201 training group.
After summing up the results of the seminar, the winners were presented with certificates and gifts.
