On March 7, 2018, the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics held an intellectual quiz “Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson” timed to the discovery of an updated forensic testing ground. The guests were: Professor of the Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Turebaev O.N, Deputy Head of the Institute for Academic Affairs, Colonel of Police Dauletiarov D.A, Deputy Head of the Institute for Scientific Work , Lieutenant Colonel Suleymanova G.Zh., who opened a criminal testing ground with a congratulatory speech.
The moderator of this event was the senior teacher of the Department of Criminal Process and Criminalistics, Major of Police Taishybayeva A.S, participants – first-year cadets of the Aktyubinsk Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbaev.
At the beginning of the quiz, the introductory speech was given to the head of the Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics Department, Colonel of Police I. Igolnikov, who wished everyone success, patience, “… so that without too much effort and expense, the soonest possible result! Health, good material and moral stimuli, and good luck in forensic task! And it was all like Sherlock Holmes – it’s elementary! “.
The quiz consisted of three stages:
– testing in various fields of science;
– a question-answer to the time;
– summarizing.
Also, brief excursions into the history of criminology by cadets about the activities of Sherlock Holmes and his hobbies were read. Cadets showed excellent knowledge. The guests of the event were among the competent jury.
The quiz passed in a friendly and creative atmosphere, the cadets demonstrated their knowledge in various fields of science. During the quiz an active exchange of views took place.
After summing up the results of the quiz, the winners were presented with certificates and gifts.
