On February 8, 2018, within the framework of the week of the Department of Administrative Law and Administrative Activity of the Department of Internal Affairs, an international quiz was held on-line on the topic “Experts in Administrative Law” among cadets at the 1B course of the Aktobe Juridical Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbaev and cadets of the Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
With a welcoming opening speech at the beginning of the event, deputy head of the Aktobe Juridical Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbayev, G. Zh. Suleymanova, the lieutenant colonel of the police, revealed the purpose of the quiz, supported the participants of the game and congratulated the employees and cadets of the Voronezh Law Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia with the Day of Russian Science.
The quiz passed in 3 rounds – representation of commands, a scientific game (a question-answer), the decision of situational problems with use of standard legal certificates. During the competition, the participants demonstrated not only excellent knowledge of the discipline, but also an unconventional approach to solving problems.
The senior lecturer of the ALandAA department of the Department of Internal Affairs, lieutenant colonel of police Izbasov M. conducted the quiz, and members of the jury assessed the answers of the cadets: the head of the Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics Department of the Aktobe Juridical Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs RK named after M. Bukenbaev, the police colonel Igolnikov A.G, the senior lecturer of the ALandAA Aktobe jurididcal institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs RK named after M. Bukenbaev, lieutenant colonel of police Malanyina L.S, head of the administrative department of the Internal Affairs Department of the Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Ph.D., police major Rydchenko K.D, Administrative staff of the Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Colonel of Police Polyakova N.V
Cadets of the Aktobe Juridical Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia divided the first place with the same number of points.
This event was preceded by a complex and thorough preparation, since the international quiz in the on-line mode was held for the first time within the walls of the institute. First of all, questions were developed on the topics covered in the discipline “Administrative Law”. The questions are formulated in such a way that they do not require an unambiguous answer in order to focus the audience on the discussion and reflection.
Such experience in conducting international quizzes in on-line mode should be used more widely in pedagogical activity, since this method causes interest of students to the subject, stimulates their cognitive activity and broadens their horizons.
In the closing speech lieutenant-colonel of police Suleymanova G.Zh. thanked cadets for participating in the quiz and presented diplomas to the winners.
