Within the framework of the cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with the training program “Risks and vulnerability: law enforcement in relation to key risk groups and protection of human rights” from January 27 to March 2 2018, the head of the Department of Social Work in the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kostanai Academy of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Sh. Kabylbaev, the police colonel N.A. Tulkinbaev and the teacher of the Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics Department of Aktbe Juridical institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M.Bukenbaev, major police E.K.Balymov on the basis of higher educational institutions and training centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan training seminars for students of the advanced training courses were held.
The purpose of conducting trainings is the formation in law enforcement bodies of an understanding of the risk and vulnerability of different population groups. In addition, the training addressed issues of various models of law enforcement activities based on the principles of human rights, as well as the specific actions of law enforcement officers in the implementation of the state program on HIV.
Employees of AIDS centers, narcological dispensaries and non-governmental organizations were involved in the training. As a result of the trainings, recommendations and proposals were developed to further improve the work and cooperation of law enforcement agencies and non-governmental organizations in countering drug trafficking in the Republic of Kazakhstan. All participants were awarded certificates upon completion of trainings.
