On September 18, 2017, the staff of the State Language and Information Department of the Institute opened a week of languages with the literary and musical creative evening “Uly Abay tagylymy”, dedicated to the creativity of the great edifice of our people, the founder of the literary Kazakh language of Abay. The purpose of the event is to inculcate feelings of respect and pride towards the native language and literature, to the native land and history, developing speech of cadets, educating patriotic feelings.
On the literary evening the cadets of the 1st course presented the verses of Abai to the court of spectators, a film about the poet’s life was shown, audio recordings of the words of edification, as well as his songs were presented.
With special skill and tenderness of Abai’s song, the artist of the House of Creativity of Aktyubinsk region, the performer of folk songs Kuanyshkul Kalymkyzy Serikbayeva, who helped to reveal Abay as a composer, sang.
In their turn, the workers of the Aktobe regional scientific library named after S.Baishev organized an exhibition of books from the poet’s own works, and works and publications of other authors devoted to the life and work of Abai.
The evening passed in a very interesting atmosphere and allowed the cadets to recognize the great poet from different and new sides, because Abai is a phenomenon whose work is still being studied by literary scientists.
