On February 10, 2018 in Aktobe, a mass ski race took place, in which over a thousand townspeople took part. The ski race was dedicated to the opening of the Winter Olimpic Games in Korea. The organizer of this event is the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Aktobe in the person of the Head of the Department Evgeny Vladimirovich Goncharov. The goal of this race is the development of winter sports in the city of Aktobe.
At the opening of the competition with a solemn speech akim of the city of Ispaniov Ilyas Saparbekovich who heartily greeted all participants of the mass race, wished them health and prosperity. And among the athletes, schoolchildren, students, pensioners, entrepreneurs and civil servants, he opened a ski race. All participants of the competition were divided into age categories and took part in the race for various distances from 1 to 5 km. Representatives of Aktobe law institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbaev also participated in this event.
In the cross-country race among the girls, Mulyar Lyubov, 103rd cadet of the ordinary police, took the third place.
