On September 14, 2018 by staff of Office of OSCE Programs in Astana for listeners of advanced training of Aktobe Law Institute of the Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M.Bukenbaev among number of persons employed of EGI on transport of the Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the territory of railway station of Aktobe city by agreement with management of Line Internal Affairs Department on Ajtobe station and EGI on transport it was conducted a practical training on profiling technology (technology of illegal actions prevention by means of detecting detachment of potentially dangerous bodies and situations using the methods of psychotechnology), in the course of which participants of the seminar-listeners of advanced training the task was given to define the persons, who has prohibited for carrying and keeping materials (narcotic drugs or explosive devices)
In the role of “educational offending persons”took part the cadets of 2nd “B” course of Aktobe Law Institute who beforehand were armed with fake weapons and narcotic drugs,and also briefing on the behavior of potential criminal was conducted.
Participants of the seminar were divided into two subgroups, for them it was given 40 minutes to define educational offending persons. Subgroups internally divided into2-3 persons.
In order to define outward appearances during communication the participants of the seminar they focus on the following: lookout, personality evaluation (mime an etc.), conversation (oral speech), and visual contact, body language (gestures, positions, and body movement).
In the operation of information of personalities, to identify potentially dangerous people in places of mass congestion and people preparing to commit terrorist acts or drug couriers in the passenger traffic, with the proper application of the method of profiling employees, ability was created to ensure effective recognition of the mental state of a person (a potential criminal).
On the territory of the railway station of the Aktobe city, the participants of the seminar used theoretical knowledge, namely the method of assessment, communication, establishing psychological contact with the interlocutor, information extraction in communication with the object under test; that is practical profiling exercise.
The purpose of conducting a practical exercise on the use of profiling methods is to develop skills, collect and process information about a person in order to identify offenders in the work of employees who provide law and order and public safety in transport in place.
As a result of the practical event, the participants of the seminar used the method of observation and questioning to identify potential criminals (objects), thereby clearly demonstrating the theoretical knowledge of profiling.
